Cell Line Development

I’d be very hard pressed to come up with any event that is more purely competitive than auto racing. As a matter of fact many of the terms used in sports today are derived from car races. There’s “put the pedal to the metal” and “go into high gear” and “give it the gas” etc. Without competition, it is more than likely we would be at least a hundred years behind our present way of life. Do you think cell line development or isolation of cells would exist if there weren’t a competitive spirit in medical research? I would bet not.
